Joi & Jaime

Just last week Joi and Jaime had their full Catholic ceremony with their two little daughters in attendance. We managed to spend a little playful time with just the two of them in a lovely field between the church in Surrey and the Reception in Richmond.

It was an incredible day! It was such an honour to photograph Grace and Sam who came back from Toronto to be married in Vancouver. Here are some of their vendors and resources. Most of the decor was designed and made by the bride with help from her family.

Angie & Ronnie

It was a gorgeous day for Angie and Ronnie’s partial destination Vancouver wedding which was held at St. Andrew’s-Wesley church and the Fairmont Waterfront Hotel. It was great to work with Sandy Pandher and her Dream Group team as well!

Sandy & Albert

I attended this wedding as a guest about seven weeks after having Jonah (he’s near the bottom of the post in a green suit.) Although I was not the official photographer at this wedding, one of Sandy’s photographer friends was kind enough to lend me a lens as I was visibly itching to photograph because it was one of the loveliest weddings I had ever been to. Just a part of the loveliness can be attributed to Sandy‘s being a photographer and her sensitivity to certain things (like the sun!) when it came to set up. Notice how the ceremony photos have a lovely glow coming from behind. Yes. I am always happy to visit ceremony sites before and consult with people and the sun– if the setup is at all tweakable I can perhaps suggest making a little shift or nudge which will mean that the photos can be even nicer than they would have been. What you will also notice in the aisle shots and ceremony shots is that Sandy was carrying a little GoPro camera on her arm to record that bit of her life from her perspective– not mine at the end of the aisle watching her, but from where she walked and stood. I thought that was brilliant. Anyway, despite my desperate borrowing of a lens and taking some photos I thoroughly enjoyed myself as a guest and fellow celebrant! Thanks, Sandy and Albert. And please bring a portable hard drive next time you’re in Van. Oh, I should also mention that the venue was Cammidge House, Boundary Bay, Delta.
